About the race
5K with the 5-0 is a local running event in Oakland, Florida, offering a 5K race and a 5K virtual option. Proceeds benefit the Oakland Police Department Community Programs. The course starts at the Oakland Police Department, heads north on Winter Landing Drive to the West Orange Trail, then travels west along the trail through scenic Oakland to the Oakland Nature Preserve Entrance, and returns to the finish at the police department.
All finishers receive a Finisher Medal, with awards for the top three in each age group. The virtual option allows remote participation with its own entry window. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
