The McDowell Mountain Frenzy takes place Saturday, December 6, 2025, at McDowell Mountain Regional Park in Fountain Hills, Arizona. Distances offered:

The event is part of the Aravaipa Desert Runner Trail Series. Race entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. Parking is at the Competitive Track parking lot with overflow at the Four Peaks Staging Area. The park charges a $7 vehicle entry fee. Camping is available in the park with 96 individual sites; a group campground option is also offered for a nightly fee.
Courses, logistics and rules
Courses use rolling single track, short steep climbs and drops, and areas of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Key features include well marked trails with orange ribbons and reflective medallions, laminated signs at junctions, and blue & white checkerboard flagging for wrong-way trails. Aid stations are supplied roughly every 3 to 10.5 miles. Timing is chip based and live tracking is available.
Crew access is limited to the start/finish area; pacers are allowed only for 50 mile entrants on the final loop. Drop bags are permitted at designated aid stations; bags must be labeled and placed in the assigned areas before race morning. The event is cupless; reusable cups are available at registration. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers at each distance and all finishers receive a finisher award. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
