About the race
Arrowhead Obstacle Trail Run takes place at Arrowhead Park in Neola, Iowa, on a scenic trail course. The event offers a 5K (3.1 miles) with 15+ obstacles and a 1-mile Kids’ Obstacle Trail Run with 10+ obstacles. It’s not a mud run—no mud pits or water crossings—and most obstacles are optional, though hills are fixed.
Runners may treat the 5K as a pure trail run by skipping obstacles, while Competitive Wave finishers must tackle all obstacles for top medals. Proceeds benefit the Pottawattamie County Trails Association. The event is family-friendly, with free parking and free event photos, and registration includes park admission.
