2025 AmeriHealth Atlantic City Marathon : Overview
The 2025 AmeriHealth Atlantic City Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K & 5K takes place on October 18-19, 2025 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Established in 1958, the Atlantic City Marathon is the third oldest continuing marathon in the United States. The race series is a division of the Milton and Betty Katz JCC, a non-profit organization based in Margate, New Jersey.
The marathon course is described as fast and flat and includes eight miles of oceanfront Boardwalk running. Courses take runners across Absecon Island and through Atlantic City, Ventnor, Margate and Longport. All courses start and finish at Michigan Ave. on the Atlantic City Boardwalk in front of Bally’s Atlantic City. The event is USATF certified and serves as a Boston qualifier; it is also an RRCA State of New Jersey Championship event and an Abbott World Major Age Group Championship qualifier. The Atlantic Half Marathon received a Race Raves Runners Choice recognition for Best Half Marathons in the U.S. (2024).

The event offers packet pickup and an expo at Bally’s Atlantic City (Treymore Ballroom), with an additional bib pick up option at a local Dick’s Sporting Goods. A pace team is provided by Marathon Pacing. Services include bag check and a finish-area beer garden where runners age 21 and over receive a complimentary beer ticket. Monetary awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each event, and commemorative age-group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each 10-year age range.
