Big Sur River Run
The Big Sur River Run is an annual benefit running event held at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park in Big Sur, California. Featuring a certified 10K race and a 5K family fun run or walk, both courses are flat, blacktop loops alongside the scenic Big Sur River, winding through redwood and oak groves. The event supports vital local organizations, including the Big Sur Health Center and Big Sur Fire, which provide essential emergency services to the community.
Since 1981, over 30,000 runners have participated, enjoying the natural beauty while contributing to these causes. The run prohibits bicycles, dogs, strollers, and other wheeled devices except wheelchairs, and offers prizes for top 10K finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
