Monte's 5K takes place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the CSU Monterey Bay (CSUMB) campus in Seaside, California. The start/finish area is in front of the Otter Student Union at 3118 Inter-Garrison Road. The event offers these distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Run
The course map is listed as coming soon. Strollers are permitted but must remain at the rear of the field for safety. Dogs are not allowed, except for service animals. Volunteers must be 18 years or older. Children under 12 may participate for free as untimed participants and will receive a finish medal; a bib or t-shirt for a child requires standard registration and payment.
Registration and logistics
Advance registration is required; there is no race-day registration and participants are asked to register by Friday, October 10, 2025. CSUMB students can register for free with a student ID and the promo code "CSUMBSTUDENT2025." A portion of each registration fee—$20—is designated for a student scholarship fund. Registration includes a race bib, medal, t-shirt, and post-race refreshments. Entry fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
Bib pick-up will be available on the days before and on the morning of the event at locations around the Otter Student Union. Parking is in Lot 71; a parking permit is required and a daily pass is available for $5. CSUMB offers event accessibility; requests for special accommodations can be made through the Otter Student Union.
