The Black Diamond takes place on Sunday, January 4, 2026 in Sugar Land, TX at Sugar Land Memorial Park, 15300 University Blvd., Sugar Land, TX 77479. The event is organized by Run Different and offers in-person and virtual participation options. Course materials are provided for the 5K, 10K and half-marathon; the half-marathon course is shown as two laps.

Registration for in-person 5K, 10K, half-marathon and 1-mile entries includes an event-themed participation t-shirt and a custom finisher medal. Eligibility for age group awards applies to the 5K, 10K and half-marathon. Age groups are awarded four deep across standard male and female divisions from 0-4 up to 80+. Overall and masters divisions (including male/female masters 40+ and grand masters 60+) receive overall medals. Awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped. The Kid's Dash is free; dashers may purchase a t-shirt and finisher medal as add-ons. The new 1-mile option is an untimed event with no age group awards. The virtual option includes shipping of the shirt and medal the week of the race. Volunteers are eligible to receive a code for a free race entry in exchange for race-day service.
