Blue Heron Hundreds

The Blue Heron Hundreds is an exciting running event taking place at the scenic Wheeler Wildlife Refuge in Mooresville, Alabama, on March 29-30, 2025. This event features multiple race distances, including a 100-mile, 100K, 40-mile, and marathon, making it North Alabama's first of its kind. Participants will enjoy a beautiful course on soft crushed gravel and dirt roads, with opportunities to see local wildlife, including the great blue heron.

A portion of the proceeds will support the Wheeler Wildlife Refuge Association. The event also includes shorter races, the Singing River 10K and 5K, for those looking for less distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
