About the race
Break the Bank is a 50-mile ultramarathon in Duluth, Minnesota, along the Willard Munger Trail from Sturgeon Lake to the Duluth finish at a historic bank-turned HQ. Runners can tackle it solo or in a relay (two- or five-person formats). The mostly flat, scenic course features forests and lakes with a downhill finish over the last 10 miles.
About 11 aid stations provide water, energy, gels, and snacks. Unique prize elements include finishing with a key to a safety-deposit box containing cash prizes and swag. Transportation back to the start is provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
