About the race
Chester Rim 5K in Duluth, Minnesota, starts in Chester Park and follows the Chester Rim Trail, part of the Duluth Traverse. The loop drops below Skyline and runs along Chester Creek, with waterfalls along the gorge. It’s a flowing, fast, and fun 5K on snowpacked trails. This race is part of the Duluth Winter Trailrunning Series, a four-race winter series on packed fat-bike trails around Duluth.
The series visits Chester Park, Lester Park, and Hartley Park for a 10K, and finishes with a 4-hour endurance test in Lester Park. A discount is offered for all four races, and finishers can earn a 'Winter Trail Series Survivor' award; two races include snowshoe and no-shoe divisions.
