About the race
Downtown Lafayette hosts the Cajun Road Runners Downtown 8K, an 8-kilometer race starting and finishing at Parc Sans Souci. The course winds through the heart of Downtown Lafayette, past the University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus with its oak tree-lined avenues, and through the Oil Center. The event offers in-person 8K, a virtual option, and a 'without swag' version.
Awards go to the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three in age groups. Packet pickup is at Geaux Run by Fleet Feet with race-day options; CRR club members receive a discount. New route maps are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
