Event overview
The Call of the Wilds Mountain Fest takes place on October 19, 2025, at Little Pine State Park in Waterville, PA. The event offers two trail distances:
- 50K
- 25K
The race is limited to 400 total runners. Registration opens in December. Registration closes on October 1.
Course and logistics
Both courses follow sections of the Mid State, Spiked Buck, Tiadaghton, Pesto, Panther Run and Torbert trails. The 25K includes over 5,000 feet of vertical gain; the 50K includes about 8,000 feet. The Torbert Trail appears with roughly 4 miles remaining before the finish. Cut-offs are used at checkpoint mile markers to ensure a daylight finish.
The finish line is managed by Falcon Timing. Food and drink are provided at the event. The organizer policy states there are no refunds, no deferrals, no bib switches, and no unregistered participants allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
