About the race
The View Trail Race, held in Hyner, Pennsylvania at the Western Clinton Sportsmans Club, offers two trail distances: 25K and 15K. The course follows Hyner Challenge routes on The View, Post Draft, SOB, and Huff Run trails; the 15K splits from the 25K at about mile 5.5 to Spring Trail and Huff Run. Expect about 3,000 feet of elevation gain for the 25K (roughly 1,800 feet for the 15K).
Registration is capped at 500 and targets serious runners/hikers; there are no refunds or deferrals. Runners are advised to complete within daylight under a 6.5-hour limit. It's a fall event with scenic remote trails. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
