Catch that Turkey 5k : Bar Harbor
The Catch that Turkey is a 5k road race held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, in Bar Harbor, Maine. The event starts and finishes near 21 Park St, Bar Harbor, ME 04609. A YMCA staff member dressed as a turkey will start with a slight head start; any participant who finishes ahead of the turkey is entered into a raffle for a Bartlett Bakery prize. Walkers are encouraged to participate. The event is capped at 150 participants. All proceeds benefit the Mount Desert Island YMCA.
Event details and registration
Standard entry is $25, with a reduced fee of $10 for ages 0-14. If spots remain, race day registration will be available at a higher fee of $30. Number pickup and day-of registration take place on race day at the Mount Desert Island YMCA. All participants aged 17 years and older must have a park pass.
