Champlain Islands Marathon

The Champlain Islands Marathon & Half Marathon takes place in South Hero, Vermont, starting and finishing near the historic home of Clarence H. DeMar, a seven-time Boston Marathon winner. The event offers both marathon and half-marathon distances on a certified, paved course featuring flat to rolling terrain through scenic farmland, apple orchards, and summer cottages along the west shore of South Hero and Grand Isle.

The full marathon consists of two out-and-back loops of the half-marathon route. Aid stations are available every two miles, providing water and electrolyte drinks.
