Cheers to New Year's 5k Run/Walk in Punta Gorda is a live, in-person New Year themed event held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at South County Regional Park, 670 Cooper St, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. The event features a 5k run/walk that is chip timed and scored by J3 Timing. Results will be published on J3 Timing's website. The official course map will be posted before the event.
Registration, swag and awards
Registration categories list an adult fee and a reduced fee for ages 1-20; the registration price increases after October 8, 2025. Registration includes a short sleeve ring spun cotton T-shirt, a finisher medal, a chip-timed race bib, and a post-race beer. Packet pickup is available the day of the event beginning one hour before the race. Age group awards will be presented live to the top three finishers in each 10-year category: 1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & over. A Team Cheer Contest will recognize the best dressed team with a $50 gift card to the brewery. The event lists Fetching Tails Foundation as a charity partner.
