The Cheers to New Year's 5k Run/Walk takes place in person on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at South County Regional Park, 670 Cooper St, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. The main distance is 5k. Registration for the 5k is listed at $30 ($25 for ages 1-20), with a higher price scheduled after November 18, 2025. A volunteer-and-run option is offered with a fee of $15 and limited spots.
Race features
The race is chip timed and scored by J3 Timing, with results posted online. Registration includes a short-sleeve super soft ring-spun cotton T-shirt, a finisher medal, and a chip-timed race bib. Packet pickup will be available on race day. Age group awards will be presented live for the top three in each age group; age groups are in 10-year categories (1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 & over).
