Coombs/Douglass Memorial Bay Run (5 Mile)
The Coombs/Douglass Memorial Bay Run is an annual running event held in Lower Township, New Jersey, featuring a certified 5-mile race and a 2-mile health run/walk. Now in its 23rd year since merging two memorial races, the event takes place primarily along the scenic Delaware Bay, offering participants beautiful waterfront views. The race honors the memories of Robert Coombs and David Douglass, with proceeds benefiting the Special Olympics of South Jersey.
Participants receive free T-shirts (while supplies last), age group medals, and a post-race breakfast. Special awards are given to the first firefighter and law enforcement finishers in the 5-mile run. The race starts and finishes at the Town Bank Fire Hall.
