Damascus Festival of Miles
The Damascus Festival of Miles is a timed loop running event in Damascus, Virginia, held October 2-3, 2026. Participants run laps on a 1-mile loop through Damascus Town Park that includes a mix of paved and trail sections. The event offers three timed race options:
- 3-Hour
- 6-Hour
- 12-Hour
Registered runners can camp overnight on Friday in reserved spaces along the course; the event has more than 100 campsite spots available next to the loop. The timed format is open to runners and walkers, with participants completing as many laps as possible within their chosen time limit. Organizers plan a 24-hour option for a future year.
On-site features and logistics
Friday packet pickup is scheduled from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Damascus Town Park, with a free Friday evening concert. Race day packet pickup is available early Saturday morning. The Saturday schedule includes live music at the gazebo and food trucks on site. The event provides aid stations with water and snacks, designated parking areas near the park, and race shirts for all registered runners. Awards will be given for top finishers (1st, 2nd, 3rd) in each category and for participants with the most laps. Volunteers are invited to assist with registration, aid stations, and other race logistics and will have access to a Volunteer Village.
