Dash Through the Dirt Half

The Dash Through the Dirt Half is a scenic running event held at Carderock Recreation Area along the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Towpath in Potomac, Maryland. Featuring a half marathon, 10k, and 5k, the courses are fast, flat, and run on a light gravel dirt trail, ideal for personal records. Each route is an out-and-back with minimal elevation gain.

The event supports the EOD Warrior Foundation and offers finisher’s coins, technical shirts, and chip timing. Water stations are well-placed along the courses, and walkers are welcome.
