District 19 Race Series

The District 19 Race Series, held annually in Washington, DC, celebrates its sixth year with a dynamic running event featuring three distances: a 19-mile race, a 19K, and a 5K. Taking place at Sandlot Anacostia, this race series was created in response to the cancellation of fall races during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, symbolizing resilience and community spirit. More than a competition, it is a call to reclaim the streets and honor those lost in 2020, emphasizing presence and purpose over pace.
