The Downtown Christmas Run takes place on Thursday, December 11, 2025, in downtown Shreveport, LA, with the listed location at Rhino Coffee, 624 Texas St., Shreveport, LA 71101. The event uses a unique three-loop course covering 3.1 miles and passes through areas decorated with large numbers of Christmas lights, seasonal decorations, and Christmas music.

Logistics and policies
Entry fees change by date: early registration through November 14 is $25; November 15–30 is $30; December 1–10 is $35; race day registration is $40. Participants may reduce their fee by $5 by opting out of a race shirt. Packet pick-up is available Monday, December 8 through Wednesday, December 10 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Sportspectrum, and on December 11 at Sportspectrum from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and at the race site starting at 5:30 pm.
Awards for the Adult 5k include overall male and female winners and runners-up receiving $100 and $75 gift certificates to Sportspectrum; age-group prizes are awarded in 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75+ categories. Kids 5k overall winners receive $50 gift cards; 1st and 2nd male and female awards are given in 9-under, 10-12, 13-15, and 16-18 groups. Refund policy: 100% refund if canceled more than 30 days before the race, 50% refund if canceled between 30 days and two weeks before the race, and no refunds within two weeks of the race. Race entry transfers to another person are allowed with a $10 fee if completed at least two weeks before the race. No dogs are allowed on the course.
