East Berlin 5K Turkey Trot
The event takes place on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the East Berlin Area Community Center, 405 North Ave, East Berlin, PA. It is organized as a 5K run/walk with two event categories:
- 5K Adult
- 5K Age 5-12
Event details and logistics
The race starts and finishes at the East Berlin Community Center parking lot and follows a route through the town of East Berlin with traffic control or assistance where needed. Chip timing is provided by Second Wind Race Timing. All proceeds benefit Roots for Boots, and the event will collect canned items for the MilitaryShare program. The event is held rain or shine; there are no refunds and awards will not be mailed. Service dogs only are permitted.
Entry information listed on the event page shows a $25 fee for the adult 5K and a $15 fee for the 5K for ages 5-12; the adult race is open to ages 13 to 105 and the youth race to ages 5 to 12. Parking is available at the skate park, along the streets, the AMZ West building, and the OLD L & L Ford business; parking is not allowed at the East Berlin Commons apartments.
Awards: overall first place male and female, plus top three male and female in listed age groups. Overall winners are not eligible for age-group awards. Awards not claimed race day will be held for one week. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
