Emancipation Day 5K

The Emancipation Day 5K is an annual running event held in historic Laurel, Maryland, at Alice B McCullough Field. Scheduled for September 6, 2025, this 13th edition features a 5K run or walk, a 1-mile fun walk, and a virtual 5K option. The event supports the University of Maryland's Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology-Midtown, which provides care for individuals with diabetes.

Participants receive a custom race bib and medal, with results posted online immediately after the race.
