Estes Park's Backyard Ultra

Estes Park's Backyard Ultra is a unique ultra-running event set against the stunning backdrop of Lake Estes, Colorado. Participants must complete a 4.252-mile loop every hour until only one runner remains, who is declared the winner. This format creates an exciting challenge, as there is no predetermined end time.

Each runner receives a custom Fractel hat, access to a stocked aid station, and a designated space in the athlete village. The course features a paved bike trail with a 150-foot elevation gain per loop, and runners switch directions every 12 hours. The event also supports local Childcare and Family Services.
