About the race
EWB x SHPE Back2School 5K is a community-driven 5-kilometer race held in San Antonio, Texas (19399 NW Military Hwy, 78257). Hosted by SHPE and Engineers Without Borders at UTSA, the event welcomes runners of all levels—from seasoned racers to casual joggers—who want to support a good cause. All proceeds benefit UTSA’s SHPE and EWB chapters, funding professional development, STEM outreach, and sustainable engineering projects, including work in Biagnimi, Cameroon.
