Event details
The Extreme Adventure Challenge is a fundraiser on May 16, 2026 at Life Adventure Center, 570 Milner Rd, Versailles, KY. Entry fees are listed at $60–$100. The event is open to people aged 16 and older and includes team events for two-person and four-person teams. The organizer plans for 30 teams of two or four. Registration funds scholarships and supports Life Adventure Center’s outdoor programs for trauma-affected individuals. All participants receive a race t-shirt, hydration and nutrition.
Course and format
The event is a timed, two-hour challenge on a 10K course across a 575-acre farm. There are 18 checkpoints with activities such as mountain biking, ziplining, archery, and canoeing. Teams earn points for arriving at checkpoints and additional points for completing checkpoint tasks. Time and points are recorded at the Brown Family Pavilion using a punch card system. Teams that arrive at least ten minutes before the time expires receive a bonus point. Teams arriving late have points deducted by minute up to ten minutes; arrivals more than ten minutes late may be disqualified. Two water stations are located along the course. Safety measures include a certified lifeguard for canoeing, a NASP certified archery instructor, and facilitators for the challenge course and zipline. Awards are given in male, female, and mixed divisions; the winning team receives a trophy and free registration for the next year. Volunteer roles are available for checkpoints, photography, race headquarters, and water stations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
