The Turkey Tag 5K takes place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Crystal Lake Park, 4307 NW 36th St, Cape Coral, FL 33993. The event is organized by Apex Promoz, the Cape Coral Run Group, and the Cape Coral Police Athletic League (PAL). Distances offered:

Format, awards and logistics
One participant will wear a turkey costume and receive a five-minute head start. Other participants pursue and attempt to tag the turkey before the finish; the tagged runner can receive a prize or voucher. The event is part of the Cape Coral PAL Race Series and proceeds benefit PAL programs that support and mentor local youth. Participants receive a limited-edition Turkey Tag 5K T-shirt and a custom Turkey Tag finisher medal. Awards for the 5K include overall male and female 1st–3rd places and top three male and female in age groups 0–9, 10–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70+.
