Gainesville's Thanksgiving Day Cops & Gobblers 5K takes place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in downtown Gainesville, GA at the Downtown Gainesville Square (112 Bradford St NE). The event lineup includes:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Kids Fun Run
- Virtual 5K
- No Shirt & No Medal 5K
Listed entry fees are $35 for the 5K Run/Walk, $20 for the Kids Fun Run, and $35 for the Virtual 5K. The course is described as spectator friendly with a total elevation gain of 162 feet and both the start and finish located on the Gainesville Square.
Logistics and beneficiaries
Proceeds benefit the Gainesville-Hall County Fraternal Order of Police Cops & Kids Program, which provides selected children with $250 each to spend on necessities and gifts. Parking is available on three downtown parking decks and on-street; the downtown square will be closed to through traffic on race morning. There are exit restrictions for the North Deck and the Main St Deck that direct vehicles to specific streets. Dogs and strollers are permitted; dogs must be leashed and friendly, and strollers are required to start at the back of the race. Packet pick-up details will be provided by the organizers.
