About the race
Galax Autumn Days 5K Run, held in Galax, Virginia, is the 37th annual edition of this community event. The program includes a 5K Run (3.1 miles) and a 1-Mile Fun Run, plus a 1-Mile Kid’s Race for children 12 & under. Both start and finish in Felts’ Park at 601 South Main Street.
The 5K course is flat, following Chestnut Creek, with a half-mile stretch through New River State Park. Awards cover overall and age-group divisions for male and female runners, plus bonuses for breaking course records and for top Masters; no double-dipping. Entry includes a t-shirt for the 5K; the 1-Mile is free and no shirt.
