Galena River Fall Half Marathon

The Galena River Fall Half Marathon & 8k is an annual running event held in Galena, Illinois, featuring a fast, flat half marathon and an 8K race along the scenic Galena River Trail. The half marathon course is an out-and-back route, starting at the Train Depot parking area, with a turnaround at 5.5 miles, then a short northern out-and-back to complete the 13.1 miles. The 8K follows a similar out-and-back format with a 2.5-mile turnaround.

The event offers medals and shirts for finishers registered by September 30. Hydration stations with water, Gatorade, and GU are available along the course.
