The 2025 Gary Mintz 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for December 6, 2025, in Brentwood, New York. The event takes place at Brentwood High School, 2 6th Avenue, Brentwood, NY 11717, and will run rain or shine. It marks the 31st year the high school is hosting the run, created to raise scholarship funds for Brentwood High School seniors in memory of a former principal.

Registration, amenities and awards
Listed registration prices that include processing fees are: 5K $28.63, 1.5K Fun Run $23.45, and Students 19 & Under $23.45. Base registration options shown on the event page list $25 for the 5K and $20 for the 1.5K before fees. The first 200 registrants will receive a shirt. Personalized bibs are available for those who register at least three weeks in advance. The event offers live/text/email results and free finish line photos. Bib pickup begins at 7AM at Brentwood High School - Sonderling on race morning.
Awards are given to the top overall male and female, top three male and female in multiple age groups, top three Brentwood students by grade (6th through 12th), and top male and female in several Brentwood categories such as teacher, alumni, retiree, school board member, and employee.
