Event overview
The Georgetown Turkey Trot takes place on November 27 in Georgetown, Washington, DC (3530 Water St NW). The event offers these distances:

- 10k
Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Fall Series. A virtual race option is available. Walkers and strollers are welcome. Runners receive a finisher's medal, a technical Dri-Fit event shirt, and chip timing.
Race details
The course runs along the C&O Canal on a light gravel dirt road with minimal elevation change and is an out-and-back route. Water stations are provided: the 10k course has three stations at approximately mile 1.5, 3.1, and 4.65; the 5k course has one station at about mile 1.5. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Port-a-johns are located near the check-in area. Packet pickup is available at the event and organizers recommend arriving about one hour before the race. There is no on-site race registration. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and via a QR code at the event; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place in age groups (19&Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+); overall top-three finishers are not eligible for age-group awards.
