About the race
Gettysburg Festival of Races combines three historic races in one weekend near Gettysburg battlefield at 3632 Emmitsburg Road, Gettysburg, PA. The event features the Gettysburg North-South Marathon, the Gettysburg Blue-Gray Half Marathon, and the 2L Race Services 5K. Runners traverse wooded back roads of southern Adams County, crossing the Mason-Dixon Line into Maryland and back.
The marathon is a two-loop course; the first 13.1 miles are shared with the half. The 5K offers rolling hills. A Saturday health expo accompanies the weekend, and fundraising for Warrior Canine Connection can earn free entries.
Finisher medals are awarded for the marathon and half; 5K does not have medals, and post-race food and beverages include a beer garden for 21+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
