Gilbert Half Marathon
The Gilbert Half Marathon, held annually in Gilbert, Arizona, is a USATF-certified race organized by the Shun the Sun Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to skin cancer awareness and prevention. Since 2014, the event has been part of the Gilbert Days celebration and, since 2022, it takes place in the scenic Verde @ Cooley Station development, where the race starts and finishes. The event features three certified courses: a half marathon, 10K, and 5K, allowing runners to qualify for official records and rankings.
The race day includes a post-race expo with local vendors offering discounts, creating a festive and community-focused atmosphere. Proceeds support skin cancer education and prevention efforts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
