Gourdy's Pumpkin Run: Detroit
Gourdy's Pumpkin Run: Detroit is a festive 5K run or walk held at Spicer Orchards in Fenton, Michigan, just northwest of Detroit. Open to all ages and abilities, participants enjoy a scenic course through the orchard in the heart of fall. The event includes chip timing, a finisher's medal, a lightweight tech hoodie ideal for autumn weather, and a commemorative race bib.
After the race, runners and walkers can savor a cup of apple cider and select a small pumpkin to take home. An optional "Tough Pumpkin" challenge allows participants to carry a pumpkin during the run for an extra medal. The event supports Girls on the Run, promoting empowerment for young girls.
