Grand Traverse Mountain Run

Website

The Grand Traverse Mountain Run is a 40-mile, point-to-point ultra from Crested Butte to Aspen, Colorado, climbing the Elk Mountains with more than 6,000 feet of elevation gain. It follows the Grand Traverse Backcountry Ski race route and is run as a fundraising event for Crested Butte Nordic. The course includes five aid stations, drop bags at Taylor Pass and the finish, and on-course nutrition from Gnarly.

Runners must carry mandatory backcountry gear and a Colorado Outdoor Search and Rescue Card. The event offers shuttles back to Crested Butte, a prize purse, and a field capped at 350 entrants with waitlist and elite entries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
