Grand Traverse Mountain Run

The Grand Traverse Mountain Run is a challenging 40-mile point-to-point ultra marathon from Crested Butte to Aspen, Colorado, following the route of the historic Grand Traverse Backcountry Ski race. Participants traverse the Elk Mountains, gaining over 6,000 feet of elevation, and experience stunning alpine scenery. The event supports Crested Butte Nordic, a non-profit organization dedicated to outdoor recreation.

Registration opens in December, with a cap of 350 runners, and includes mandatory gear requirements such as waterproof clothing and a Colorado Search and Rescue Card.
