Grin & Bear It

The Grin & Bear It is Crested Butte’s oldest trail running event, featuring a 15 km out-and-back race and a new 25 km loop, both starting and ending at the Crested Butte Nordic Center. The event takes place in July and offers scenic routes through mountain trails with significant elevation changes, including technical sections and stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Participants can choose to compete in the traditional race or the longer loop, which also includes a mountain bike race option.
