Grinch Run - Crete

Crete, Illinois hosts the Crete Country Christmas Grinch 5K Run, a festive, family-friendly 5K fundraiser. The event welcomes runners, walkers, and strollers, with participants encouraged to dress in Grinch Green as they chase the Grinch through Crete. Proceeds benefit the local Crete Food Pantry, with participants asked to bring a nonperishable food item on race morning.

Registration includes a Grinch 5K shirt, plus fruit, water, and granola in the runner’s tent. A post-race Breakfast with the Grinch is offered.
