Hardin Valley Hawk Trot 5K : November 27, 2025
The Hardin Valley Hawk Trot 5K takes place at Hardin Valley Academy in Knoxville, TN (11345 Hardin Valley Rd). The event includes a 5k and a junior one-mile race on the school campus and finishes in the high school football stadium/track.
Events, course and logistics
- 5 km : open to ages 10 to 99
- 1 mile (Junior Hawk Mile) : registration lists ages 1 to 12; the kids mile is capped at 100 runners
The course follows campus roads, includes mostly flat sections with a light rolling hill through the HVA parking lot, and returns to finish on the football stadium track. Packet pickup is available race morning on campus. Restrooms are available near the start/finish and in academic buildings. A water table is provided at the halfway point. T-shirt orders are cut off four days before race day. Awards are given to the top three overall by gender, top three in each 10-year age group by gender, and top master runner (over 40) by gender; children in the one-mile receive a finisher medal and a festive participation gift.
