Hot Dam Race

The Hot Dam Race, organized by the West Texas Running Club, is an annual running event held in Lubbock, Texas, at Canyon Lakes near 22nd Street and MLK Jr. Boulevard. Celebrating its 35th year in 2025, the race features two distances: a 2-mile run/walk for participants aged 7 and older, and a 5-mile run for those 13 and above.

The 5-mile course is USATF certified (#TX13139ETM) and both courses follow an out-and-back route starting near a waterfall. The event offers a competitive yet community-focused atmosphere, with no race-day registration or refunds, and encourages participation from runners and walkers alike.
