Hot Dam Race
The Hot Dam Race, organized by the West Texas Running Club, is a celebrated annual running event that has been taking place since 1988. The 35th edition features a 2-mile run/walk for participants aged 7 and older, and a 5-mile run for those aged 13 and up. Both courses are USATF certified and follow an out-and-back format starting near a scenic waterfall at Canyon Lakes in Lubbock, Texas.
The event promotes community engagement and fitness, with entry fees varying for members and non-members. The race fosters a spirit of competition and camaraderie among local runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
