Howelsen Hill Trail Run
The Howelsen Hill Trail Run is a challenging trail race held in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, on the scenic single-track trails of historic Howelsen Hill and Emerald Mountain. Participants can choose between 8-mile and 4-mile distances, running through beautiful terrain featuring abundant aspen trees and wildflowers. The course is a loop starting at Olympian Hall, ascending via Lupine Trail, and descending through MGM and Meadow trails back to the base of Howelsen Hill Ski Area.
The race supports the Knights of Columbus, includes well-marked trails with an aid station at the climb's summit, and encourages runners to carry their own hydration to reduce waste. Awards and a post-race brunch add to the event's welcoming atmosphere. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
