Indian Creek Trail Runs : event overview
The Indian Creek Trail Runs take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Indian Creek Campground in Sedalia, Colorado. The event offers the following distances:
- 50-Mile
- 55k
- 15-Mile
- 5-Mile
Runner capacity is 225 (combined). Time limits are 14 hours for the 50-Mile and 55k, and 12 hours for the 15-Mile and 5-Mile. A mid-race drop down option is available: 55k starters may drop to the 15-Mile at the 15-mile point, and 50-Mile starters may drop to the 55k at the 55k point. There are no refunds or credits for dropping distance. All finishers receive a unique finisher's award; the event also presents DFL and Transcendence Awards. Awards will not be mailed.
Course, logistics and rules
The courses use seldom-used single-track trails through lower and upper montane Front Range ecosystems. Terrain ranges from lodgepole pine and aspen around 6,000-8,000 feet down to red rock and tall-grass areas near 5,000 feet. Course viewpoints include views of the nearby city, red rock formations similar to those at Red Rocks Amphitheater, and occasional distant 14ers. The event operates under permits from the U.S. Forest Service, Douglas County, Denver Water, and Colorado Parks and Wildlife/Roxborough State Park.
Camping on site is limited, costs $20 per night, and requires a reservation; tents, limited camper vans, and limited rooftop tents are allowed, no trailers. Parking is limited; vehicles with fewer than two registered runners may incur a $10 parking fee. Pacers are allowed only for 50-Mile participants (one pacer on the final loop with waiver, pacer bib, and headlamp). Drop bags are permitted only at the Indian Creek Campground start/finish area.
