Iron Horse Half Marathon
The Iron Horse Half Marathon is a scenic, mostly downhill half marathon held in Washington state, starting at Olallie State Park and finishing in North Bend. The 13.1-mile course follows the Palouse to Cascade Trail and Snoqualmie Valley Trail, both former railroad tracks, offering a gentle elevation loss of about 880 feet. The unpaved, hard-packed dirt trail winds through beautiful natural surroundings, including river views and railroad trestles.
The event features five aid stations, pacers for various finish times, and a commitment to environmentally friendly, cupless racing. It is USATF certified and has been voted one of Washington’s best half marathons multiple times. A virtual race option is also available.
