Iron Horse Half Marathon
The Iron Horse Half Marathon is a scenic, USATF-certified downhill half marathon held in Washington state, starting at Olallie State Park and finishing in North Bend. The 13.1-mile course follows the Palouse to Cascade and Snoqualmie Valley Trails, former railroad tracks, featuring a gentle, steady descent with about 880 feet of elevation loss. The unpaved, hard-packed dirt trail offers beautiful views, including river and forest scenery, and several railroad trestles.
The race includes five aid stations, pacers for various finish times, and a cupless, environmentally friendly approach. It is highly rated, having been voted best half marathon in Washington multiple times. A virtual race option is also available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
