JMU 5K

JMU 9/11 5K is a campus-based running event held at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The race covers a 5K distance and is designed as a meaningful, unifying memorial to September 11th, inviting community members, students, faculty, and staff of all abilities. The course features a scenic loop on JMU’s East Campus, with the start and finish located behind the Festival Conference and Student Center.

It is chip-timed, highlighting accessible participation for walkers and runners alike. Special features include separate entry categories for current college students, ages 17 and under, and non-students, with on-site parking available for those without a permit.
