Run the Runway - Weyers Cave

The 2025 Run the Runway takes place at Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport in Weyers Cave, Virginia. The event features a 1K Kids Fun Run for ages 3-12 and a 5K Run/Walk on the taxiway and runway. The race is family-friendly and suitable for runners, walkers, and those at all fitness levels; the flat, fully paved course is stroller- and wheelchair-friendly.

It is professionally chip-timed and unique for its setting on a real airport runway. The organizers describe it as a family-friendly event welcoming participants of all ages.
