The Katy YMCAs 23rd Annual Turkey Dash takes place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Katy, TX at the Monty Ballard YMCA at Cinco Ranch (22807 Westheimer Parkway). The event program includes these distances:
- 10K Timed Run
- 5K Timed Walk/Run
- 1 Mile Family Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Kids Race (open to ages 3-12)
Medals will be awarded to all finishers. Age group awards are planned for 10K and 5K finishers. The event includes a post-race party with a Kids Zone and engagement from local businesses and organizations. All proceeds support the Katy community through scholarships for YMCA memberships and programs.
Logistics and rules
Packet pick-up is handled at the Monty Ballard YMCA at Cinco Ranch. There is no race day registration. Parking shuttles will operate from the Super Target parking lot (23710 Westheimer Parkway) and will drop off near the race site. Medical support is provided on course and in the post-race area. Water stations are staffed and equipped: two on the 5K course and three on the 10K course, plus water at the finish area. Strollers are allowed but must line up at the back; infants in strollers do not need a registration unless a t-shirt is desired. Dogs and wheeled devices (bicycles, skateboards, roller blades, scooters) are not permitted on the race course. Race results will be posted onsite and online.
