Kerstetter 5K
The Kerstetter 5K takes place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, on Kerstetter Way next to the Elyria Police Department. The event was created in July 2010 to honor a local police officer who died on March 15, 2010. Over the years it has continued as a memorial event supported by local organizations.
Events and registration
The event program includes a memorial 5K run, a 1 mile family fun walk, a virtual memorial run, and a LEO formation run. Entry fees listed are $30 for the Kerstetter K5 Memorial Run, $0 for the Kerstetter K5 1 Mile Family Fun Walk, $20 for the Virtual Memorial Run, and $30 for the LEO Formation Run. Registration opens March 31, 2026 at 12:00pm EDT.
