KU Vets Day 5K
The KU Vets Day 5K is an annual running event held in Lawrence, Kansas, organized by the KU Student Veterans of America and the Veterans Alumni Network. The 2025 race honors the 250th anniversary of the Army, Navy, and Marines, celebrating veterans' service. The 5K course typically starts and ends at Memorial Stadium, passing through the KU campus and war memorials, but in 2025 it will begin and finish at the Jayhawk Welcome Center due to stadium construction.
The event welcomes runners, walkers, ruckers, strollers, and wheelchair racers, including virtual participants. Proceeds support military-affiliated student initiatives at KU.
