Event overview
Sanders' Saunter Charity Race takes place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Clinton State Park in Lawrence, KS (Shelter 1, Army Corps of Engineers - 798 N 1402 Rd). The event is presented by the Lawrence Trail Hawks and lists Falling Forward Foundation as the 2025 charity partner. SWAG is sold separately with all proceeds to the charity; SWAG orders must be placed by October 26. Packet pickup is available on race morning and on Friday, Nov. 7 at Lawrence Beer Company WEST.

Finisher awards are given: a mug for 50K finishers and a medal for 25K and 10K finishers. Top three male, female, and non-binary finishers in each race receive awards.
Course and logistics
The course starts and finishes at Shelter 1. Runners begin on the white trail, follow the yellow and blue connectors, run the ridge of Sanders Mound, and return on the white trail. The 25K course includes one trip to the mound; the 50K is two loops of the 25K course. Aid stations are positioned at Lake Henry (optional), Lands Ends (two locations), Lake Henry again, and Start/Finish, with mile markers noted on the Clinton Lake map. Drop bags are available at Lands End and the Start/Finish aid station. Dogs are permitted but must be leashed and controlled; owners must clean up after their dogs.
25K and 50K runners are required to carry a handheld or hydration pack. Entry transfers, refunds, and deferrals are restricted as stated by the organizers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
