The La Carrera event is scheduled for Saturday, January 10, 2026, in Shreveport, LA (Stoner Boat Launch, 71101). The program includes the following events:
- 5k
- 1/2 Mile Fun run
- Sleep In Supporter
Registration, logistics and rules
Standard registration is $25 through December 27, 2025 and includes a T-shirt. Late registration is $30 from December 28, 2025 through January 9, 2026, and $35 on race day. Packet pick-up is available at Sportspectrum on January 8 and January 9, and race packets can also be picked up at the race site on January 10. T-shirts are not guaranteed for registrants after December 27, 2025.
Overall male and female finishers in the 5k receive a $100 cash prize. First and second place winners in each age group receive medals. Age groups are: 14-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
Strollers, wagons, baby joggers and other hand-pushed or pulled vehicles are allowed on the course only at walking pace. In-line skates and roller skates are prohibited. Donations and supporter registrations are accepted to benefit LA CARRERA/RASA, with giving available through the race’s charity channels. A post-race gathering will offer refreshments and awards.
